Yasmeen Hitti is an interdisciplinary scientist and creative technologist working at the intersection of biology, AI, and interactive media. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in neuroscience at the Université de Montréal, CHU Sainte-Justine, and the Mila Québec AI Institute. She earned her PhD from McGill University in collaboration with Mila, where her research explored how plant behaviour can be sensed, interpreted, and shaped through technology. Her work bridges research and artistic practice, using biological signals from plants and human movement to build computational systems that generate immersive, creative experiences and rethink relationships between people, non-humans, and environments.
